SIP trunk
The IP connection for SIP capable telephone systems
The Winet SIP Trunk allows you to establish multiple simultaneous voice connections with your existing telephone system via the SIP protocol. In contrast to the simple SIP account for a single SIP end device, your telephone system does not have to register with Winet for each individual phone number, because the registration is done directly via the trunk main number.
There are no additional investment costs for you, as your existing telephone system (VoIP-capable or converted by means of an adapter) becomes the focus and can continue to be used.
In contrast to other providers, the number of call channels is unlimited with Winet and free of charge with the exception of a small basic fee - regardless of the size of the telephone system.
With a SIP trunk you can cost-effectively connect SIP-capable telephone systems, gateways or SBCs to our telephony platform. Winet is based on the RFC standard and is also certified for use with various telephony systems.
Winet's SBC infrastructure is certified and tested for the following products
What exactly is a SIP trunk?
A SIP trunk is actually nothing more than the connection of your telephone system to the provider. In the past, so-called ISDN basic or primary connections were used for the telephone connection.
Today, this can be solved with a SIP telephone system: Compared to these older connections, today's SIP trunks allow an unlimited number of call channels to be used at the same time.
Advantages of a SIP Trunk
All-IP is a global trend and the use of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking is growing rapidly. In countries such as Switzerland, the USA, the UK, Germany and many other European countries, the number of ISDN lines is decreasing. BT, KPN , France Télécom, Deutsche Telekom and Telecom Italia are major telco companies that stopped offering these lines as early as 2020. VoiP technology had a market value of 30 billion US dollars by 2020
SIP trunking offers a lot of advantages for companies that want to be on the cutting edge of technology. With SIP, individual call and extension numbers as well as entire blocks of numbers can be assigned. Winet offers porting of existing phone numbers - this is especially convenient for companies that want to remain reachable under their known number.
BackUpRouting to any number
Good to know! With Winet, any number can be forwarded to any number. In the event of a malfunction, B. Calls from your extension are automatically transferred to your mobile phone. With other providers, it is usually only possible to redirect the main number or the entire block to a single destination.
