Security

Security in networks starts at the very beginning. Security always has a trade-off with user-friendliness.

Security in the VoIP and network environment

Why security is the basis for a successful business.

In today's digital age, network security is essential for the success of any business. Network security not only protects sensitive data from cyber threats, but also ensures that operational processes can run smoothly and efficiently.
A secure network setup is the foundation on which trust between companies and customers is built. If your customers can trust that their data is in safe hands, this strengthens your brand loyalty and promotes long-term business relationships.
Network security also protects against financial losses and potential reputational damage caused by data leaks or hacker attacks. A single incident can significantly shake confidence in a brand and cause immense costs.
Companies that invest in advanced security solutions position themselves as leaders in their industry. They demonstrate a proactive stance against potential threats and underline their commitment to modern and secure technology, such as VoIP and cloud PBX solutions.
In conclusion, it can be said that a reliable and secure network is not only the backbone of an efficient business strategy, but also a decisive factor for sustainable growth and competitiveness.

We rely on OPNSense and Fortigate.

Depending on customer requirements, we rely on OPNSense or Fortigate. For more complex site networks, we like to use Fortigate, as it greatly simplifies network management. However, this also depends on the customer's willingness to bear the resulting procurement costs. In simpler environments, or where the budget is limited, we successfully use OPNSense. The clear interface simplifies operation enormously and can also be operated by the customer in some cases.

Advantage no.1

Fortigate is a long-standing player in the firewall market and is very popular with many system integrators. Fortinet offers excellent support and regular updates of its software. Fortinet has a wide range of products, from the small Soho Firewall to the Enterprise Firewall. Another advantage is that complex networks can be managed centrally.

Advantage no.1

OPNSense is an open source firewall solution that leaves nothing to be desired. It can be installed on practically any hardware and is very popular in the community. This has the advantage that many extensions, such as Wireguard, can be implemented at the click of a mouse. Hardware is now available in almost every performance class. This means that extremely powerful firewalls can be configured based on OPNSense.

Provider selection

Why would you recommend Winet to others?

"I would recommend Winet to others, because Winet has supported us well right from the start. We were a small company and have since grown and are growing. Winet continues to support us well and if a provider understands that it should also support and look after small customers from the outset, then customers will remain loyal."

“I would recommend it, because Winet has accompanied us well from the start. We were a small company and have now grown and grow further. Winet still accompanies us well and if a provider understands that they should also accompany and look after small customers from the start, then the customers also remain loyal."
